OMG! Miraculous Kund is here in Damoh! Big elephants drank water… still it did not become empty


Arpit Barkul/Damoh: There is a place called Jhiriya of Siddhas, near 27 miles intersection of Tendukheda block, 70 kilometers away from the district headquarter. Here Panda Baba Siddha Kshetra Dham is located, where Panda Baba and Hanumanji Maharaj are sitting. There is a small pond behind the temple, whose water never ends.

Elders tell that many such miracles happened here, seeing which people were also surprised. The first miracle is right in front of your eyes. There is a small water tank, in which the water present never ends, while there is no other water source other than stone in the area around 15 kilometers away. Despite this, no one knows from where the water leaks here.

The second miracle came to be seen and heard when there used to be a dense forest here years ago. There was no source of water for the wildlife, then along with the small animals, among the big animals, elephants also used to come here to quench their thirst. Even after that this small pond did not become empty.

With the passage of time, this Siddha Kshetra Dham has become famous in Bundelkhand region by the name of Panda Baba’s Jhiriya. People from far off places come here to fulfill their wishes and have darshan of Panda Baba. Travelers going to Damoh, Jabalpur, Sagar and Bhopal often stop at this Siddha Kshetra Dham and meditate for some time.

Komal, who cannot walk in the temple premises, told that he has been living in Panda Baba’s court for many years. Every wish sought in this court is fulfilled. Many years ago, there used to be many elephants in the nearby forest, who used to often come to this pond to drink water. When even elephants could not empty this kund, people’s faith increased and this place became known as Siddha Kshetra Panda Baba’s Jhiriya in Bundelkhand.

At the same time, the priest of the temple told that this is Panda Baba of 27 miles. Panda Baba fulfills the wishes of every passerby. There is such a belief that by offering earrings of five coconuts, the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled.
